Guy Du Toit was born in the Transvaal in 1958. After completing his compulsory National Service, Du Toit registered for a B A (Fine Art) Degree at Pretoria University in 1982. He was employed in the Fine Arts Department as a Technical Assistant until 1986. In 1987 he taught at the Johannesburg Art, Ballet, Music and Drama School and in 1990 at the Pelmama Academy in Soweto. Du Toit is currently a professional practicing sculptor. He works in a number of media including bronze, stone, wood and steel, and draws in pen, ink and charcoal.

EXHIBITIONS
Du Toit has participated in several group exhibitions in South Africa and Canada.
